Blow the Man Down
Priscilla and Mary Beth are sisters whose mom just passed away. The two are very different. Priscilla is sensible and Mary Beth is impulsive. Her impulse drives her to go home with a guy where she soon discovers evidence that might make him a killer. She harpoons him and enlists her sister to help dispose of him in a picnic cooler.
The two characters are very entertaining to watch onscreen. There is very subtle humor in the Greek-chorus fishing town. It has similarities to Fargo. The film's attention drifts to the darkside of the fish town that shows the past and present of the women struggling in its patriarchy.
βAt times it is hard to put the pieces of the plot together along with the very dark lighting.
